She collects Hummingbirds and salt & pepper shakers. Her talents include, puppetry and clowning.
Pastor Adelle and her spouse, Glenda have been married for ten years this past July.
When asked about how she came to the ministry she says, “I’ve always known that
I wanted to serve The Lord. When other kids were playing dolls, I was playing
church.” In 1985 at MCC Worcester our Pastor became active in answering her
call. She studied under The Rev. Emmett J. Watkins Jr., who she lovingly
refers to as, “her spiritual dad.” After Rev. Watkins died she served on the
Interim Pastoral team. The church called a full time Pastor and she knew that
it was time to move on. The Lord led her to Virginia. It was here that a
Bible study began six years ago with four people in her living room and out of
that Heaven’s Tableland Christian Church was born.
Pastor’s prayer is to be all God wants her to be and to be His Servant for the
rest of her life. For the church she prays it will continue to grow in the
wisdom and knowledge of God and that each person who comes through the door
will realize that they are special to God. “Remember always,” she says,
“Rainbows really happen. You first have to believe. The rainbow may disappear
for awhile but, God will always come through.”
